The Taurus is no global platform. Europe has virtually no demand for something that big *and* FWD, see slow sales of the Chevy Malibu and no Opel counterpart (no rebadged Buick Whatshisface) to it.

The Buick Regal (Insignia) is a better competitor for the Fusion, really. In Europe the Opel is Mondeo's biggest competitor along with the Passat.

A Lotus Esprit has been done with bags, so have countless Porsches, it's versatile.

Red over White is a classic combo on many vehicles, and it does this 'Rarri quite a few favours, especially setting it apart from others.
