Since babies don’t tend to have very strong personalities, I think it’s important for them to wait a good long time”

I think the current practice of naming the baby quickly is probably pushed because of paperwork. They want it for the birth certificate, convince you it’s a pain to do later. And don’t forget the insurance company.

My kids use masks more than I do. I usually only leave once a week to run errands. My kids wear theirs every day when they go out biking on our dead end street with the neighbors.

Yep. Great if you have kids too. Nothing for them to lose.

They had a change in owner? management? some years ago. I’ve lost track. I unsubscribed and have been avoiding them since they fired their cartoonist, so there was nothing left to do to boycot them with this latest fiasco.

Eh. I’ve been going with Keen sandals for years. They are indestructible. It's all my kids wear from May til the snow falls.

Its plenty fair to set aside reading time. I also know parents that are setting aside time for continuation Reflex math and Duolingo.

My son has a smores cookbook (he asked for it for Christmas) and it recommends that you make them in the oven using the broiler. No single purpose appliance required!

I’m all for a more generous safety net for those that are losing income at this time, but this is too much.

We never had an issue with him eating during class or disrupting his classroom.

I think there is a chance your kids are hungry at school. I do a lot of asking around food and school. We pack lunches and they sometimes get breakfast at school if it’s something they like. Here are a couple things we’ve encountered.

In a bold move, I cleaned the best looking spot in my living room, took a photo and use that. It covers up the mess in the day to day, but looks like mine. The best version of my own space, sans Lego and blanket forts.

Meanwhile, there are students that literally cannot access education during COVID because they don’t have computers and/or internet. There are olaces where students can’t afford computers and schools don’t have enough for everyone. There are places where there just isn't any network.

We bought our last two Nexus/Pixel phones from Google and gotten the insurance. Totally worth it. We seem to a every three year family.

Essential workers need to do something for child care. We'd be in an even worse place if every essential worker that was a parent just quit.
