@Bueller: The car photographed on teh street is the 500 Sport, it has a monochromatic exterior. The standard 500 is apparently no different than what is sold everywhere else.

GM makes a compact, simple truck as well. But it's light years better engineered than the Ranger. It's called the Colorado and Canyon. When the Ranger is gone it will be all that is left.
I live near the Ford proving grounds in Arizona.
@homeslice60148: Uh no, they are not a foreign company just because Sergio is the CEO.
@solracer: How is the Fiesta or Focus any less American than anything else Ford makes? Ford is an American company and no matter where Ford comes up with those vehicles they are still American products and benefit our American company.
Their going to make the next Mustang out of the next Falcon, similar to what GM did with making the Camaro out of the Commodore.
@CABEZAGRANDE: You realize the CTS-V sedan and cupe are both over two tons already and handily outrun and can outtrack a Shelby GT500?
This is why I sold my 87 Grand National when I moved to Phoenix. Regular insurers would not insure it for value (north of 20k, mint condition, low miles).
Analysts believe that Chrysler could very well become more valuable than Fiat which currently owns a minority stake.
I think a better question would be, do cars really need to have aps and hard drives in the dash?
@ranwhenparked: The car is sold as the Chevrolet Caprice in some parts of the world. A plusher version is also sold as the Buick Park Avenue to the Chinese.
@tkosoccer03: I find it highly doubtful that a twin-turbo V6 driving four wheels and lugging around a 4400lb car (w/o equipment) is going to use less fuel than the two V8 cars that don't work as hard and weigh less. But that's just me.
@DMCVegas: I live in Arizona and Police Chargers are everywhere now. Even up in the high country. Crown Victorias have been on the way out here since 2007 at least.
GM doesn't have to spin too much on this one. Ford's entry can't be purchased for a very long time yet, it's FWD and it's a Taurus. The Caprice wins without even trying.
@87CapriceEstate: That's pretty much exactly what this new Caprice does.
Just as GM handed Ford the keys to the entire PD market in the mid 90s Ford is now handing it back without a proper RWD car to replace the Crown Victoria.
@Kevin: This new interior is no different in it's time than the one in your TJ.
@Ben Wojdyla: Yeah, like 3% of the overall truck market. That's being optimistic.
That's nice and all but it isn't a replacement for a V8.
The commentary in these old reviews is so much snarkier than you'd see on American review shows today. When did American auto reviewing become so vanilla?
