It should be since it costs nearly double. The standard 3.6L CTS is a decent car let down by a weak powertrain and a very tight backseat. I'll take the 2011 300C over it for the same cash or less thanks.

The 300 is very significant as it is one of two remaining traditional RWD American luxury cars - a highly endangered species. It also appears to be an extremely well done car this time around.

Enjoy semi-affordable RWD cars while you can.

My folks had one of those from new for 14 years or so. It was a hunk of rattly squeaky air and water leaky crap, but still awesome. Especially in snow.

@Barcode711: Edmunds released this news weeks ago and noted that all three neo muscle cars are completely decimating the cars you claim are better in sales, even the Corvette is down while all three big bruisers are up.

The biggest news of all is that the Chevrolet Corvette experienced it's worst sales year since 1961.

The Holden Caprice (about to be sold as the Caprice PPV here), Commodore (formerly sold as the Pontiac G8 here), Commodore wagon, and Ute (both planned for Pontiac) would add four new models to Chevrolet and together should form a good volume.

I hope and pray that whomever ends up with it leaves it as-is.

@tonyola: Not terribly surprising when you consider the Corvette is made out of plastic and wood.

The world didn't need a cheap and silly Top Gear knockoff, the world arleady has Top Gear.

They finally wised up and pulled the plug on the name once they had gotten done sucking all the identity out of the brand by renaming all the cars, removing any styling link to Olds products of its heyday and spending billions trying to reeducate consumers on it all who didn't care.

The discourse here has really gone downhill.

You mean Top Gear. The real Top Gear. The one and only.

What made the auto industry so special that it deserved billions and billions of US taxpayer money when others didn't?

Wow, lots of negative Nancy comments for what is a thoroughly badass and unique car. On Jalopnik no less. I guess the country really is losing it's way.

How is the Colorado/Canyon not considered a compact truck?

@johnnyichiban: You beat me to it. If someone wasn't going to post the Macross in this thread then I sure as Hell would have.

The Stig is really Mega Man?!
