Skylark or Century would be a good name for it in the US. It's a shame about the styling though.

@AlexLemond: With Chevrolet moving upmarket and Cadillac moving downmarket Buick is in a very preecarious position.
@ranwhenparked: Because that's taking your eye off the ball, which is Ford itself.
It seems like a crafty way for Toyota to unload NUMMI on someone, that someone was Tesla. That money was used to buy it was probably DOE loans for "green" vehicles that other manufacturers like Ford and Nissan have been taking advantage of.
Everyone seems to forget that GM currently offers a compact, no-frills truck. It's called the Colorado. It's as utilitarion as the ancient Ford Ranger but without the ancient. It even offers a V8 engine.
@Rondo!: It's all warm and fuzzies until you commute in traffic or drive this car how you want to drive it.
It was already a "Chinese-quality" car, the only place it could go with tweaks was up.
My only complaint is the name, this car should be wearing the Eldorado name because that's exactly what it is. A brash, swaggering, perfect, contemporary Eldorado.
Meh.
The Chevrolet Colorado is also very similar to the Ranger, it's just a newer design.
The Ranger wasn't the only vehicle that outsold the Mustang. GM moved nearly 10,000 Camaros last month. The Challenger also came close to the Mustang's number last month.
It really, really needs the V6 turbo they already offer in this car with 300hp.
Holy moly, I recognize this guy.
That's not Jeremy meaning that Top Gear USA really isn't Top Gear, it's a cheap American knock-off.
All new Buicks, Caddys, Lincolns, Mercurys, to see what she thinks of automobiles purchased mostly by her demographic. That would be interesting no?
Funny that over 30 years later automanfacturers (and writers) still make absurd comparisons like this.
@Turbineguy - now with reheat!!: Nearly any car with sticky tires can generate big cornering Gs. The Buick GNX in the late 1980s with a very similar rear suspension to the current Mustang did the same thing in 1987.
No, numbers in a magazine or online do not equal a better car.
It's going to be sold here as a Buick. Whether or not it will be a great Buick is anyone's guess.
@OA 5599: And the Camaro still beat the Mustang (with the Track Pack) by over four seconds in C/D's Lighting Lap road race last year.
