@DoctorNine: That's completely, utterly untrue.

@Ben Wojdyla: Ben, the upcoming Saabs should be awesome. They're both made out of GM's newest products.

Saab is still fucked.

Funny that when AMC was in their death throes that Renault came in and tried to make something out of them, only to fail and sell to Chrysler.

They will likely redesign it based on the Aussie Ford Falcon, just as the Camaro is based on the current Holden Commmodore.

Sticker shock will meet most who go to a Ford lot looking at these. I looked at the revised Mustang last summer and the cheapest one the dealer had (with HIDs, no nav) was $37,900. An eye-watering price for a car with a buggy axle out back. 412hp isn't going to fix that.

When these guys were all Honda fanboys ten years ago it didn't seem to hurt that company any.

I came across this very car in my search for a new Vibe (which seem to be almost all gone, the GTs anyway).

I see all 20 people who own Saabs in the US showed up, that's dedication.

The parts aren't actually new. Mopar has offered all of them (except the strobe) since the car was released.

Sell of Saab! So Spyker can kill it instead!

How about everyone put their money where their keyboards are simply support Saab by buying them?

Just kill it already.

@Møbius: What hasn't Saab taken from GM?

@Old Grimey: Except Proton doesn't make Lotus, Lotus gets money from Proton and continues to be based in the UK making their own cars. Actual Proton cars from the mother country are 3rd world trash.

@Old Grimey: Saab aerospace and Scania would never, ever buy the auto company back.

Wow, they sure didn't give the automobile world much at all. What are we mourning again?

Saab made plenty of cars for people that wanted them. It wasn't the 9-2 or 9-7 in the US that killed Saab.
