This might well be true - if anything, a desire for revenge at the years of mockery seems to have been one of the more puerile motivations behind some of the votes for Trump.

After checking out both Trump’s Twitter feed and the comics, I’d say the comics are much less damning than the verbal flow from Trump himself.
