I thought that was Christian Grey.
I thought that was Christian Grey.
You gotta be a next level of evil if you make a Walmart heir look sympathetic in a story.
I didn't realize it was old and left a comment on it. I was feeling pretty pretty pro-Gawker after reading it, which I assume was the point.
Good job Mark. You’ve scared me to death of something that I probably won’t ever get but HOLY FUCKING CRAP YOU CAN GET A DISEASE THAT STARVES YOU TO DEATH JESUSSSSSS.
Vag, vag on the range, where the deer and the antelope play.
Also lots of categories of litigants are excluded, and many types of claims, especially civil ones, aren’t litigated by many of these orgs. Throw in that many resources are even more inaccessible to rural victims and you start to see how big a problem it can be.
Thanks and all. It’s great but now my vagina won’t come back to me either? It’s off free ranging like the chicken in the Geico commercial.
Team Nobody.
Totally, totally agree about recognition, but a huge number of legal services orgs are completely overwhelmed and absolutely do not have the funding to cover all the people they would want to.
What’s terrible is that there are people alive today who have lived through polio. The problem is, of course, we super-enlightened Gen-Y and Gen-X’ers don’t listen to our parents/grandparents. Because they’re, like, old and shit, amirite? Disclaimer: I’m an old Gen-Y’er and I listen to my 65+ year old parents, and…
I am willing to bet that culture has a big thing to play with this difference. In the South, you often have several generations living under the same roof. With the older generation being the boss. And I bet those grandparents and great-grandparents are the ones pushing the younger generations to get vaccinated…
And if your kids are around the elderly, vaccinate them, too! Last I checked (6-7 years ago), children between 5 and 9 were the primary vectors of influenza in human populations. Also, if they're going to be around me, because I get pneumonia the way my grandmother got pregnant (ie, easily and often).
I Thee Dead ?
It astounds me that the same society that lost its collective mind last year during the Ebola crisis apparently feels that Polio is NBD.
gran is bae
To quote the best show in the history of EVER, “Funerals, weddings...same guest list. Handful of rice, handful of dirt. The only difference is it’s okay to date after a funeral!”
The thing that baffles me about not getting your kids vaccinated is missing what an astonishing gift immunity is. Here, for the cost of a moment’s discomfort and a $20 copay, you are protected from a scourge that has caused humanity untold pain and death for millennia.
It’s like Thetis bringing Achilles to the River…
No one from Seattle should be allowed to be smug, condescending or insulting to anyone from the South until they get their vaccine rates up to Mississipi’s.
I think if my grandma just died I'd be like, "wtf" but it must be a nice relief for the people who run the place to occasionally deal with a happy occasion.
Same. We use the same pizza place all the time and they know there will be a good tip in it. Besides, they’ll still be doing all their weed deliveries so it’s not like I’m putting them out.
