I think the thing most folks are missing in the analysis of this is that professional sports are the haven of faux Christian cavemen who likely retreated to their caves to wonder aloud “why are there women in the fucking locker room anyway.”

Literally the only excuse for the Astros’ initial official reaction is

I SAID AHEM

Ahem

I keep wondering to myself, would it be such a “complicated” issue if this was Egypt 2011 and the NBA was silencing conversations about the brutalization of pro-democracy protesters at the hands of a dictator so that it could play games in and take advantage of the Egyptian market?

Or 2013 Egypt when el-Sisi killed at

He’s a UFA in 2021, but is he going to play this season? Next season? If he doesn’t play this season, what’s his trade value during the offseason?

The market will overpay right now. The strength of the offers will decrease as their leverage over Ramsey decreases, imo.

I read that they turned down two first round picks for Ramsey.

I’ll take the money, even if it comes with a side of snark #shrug

Khan may be a great businessman, but he’s demonstrating a lack of understanding of this game. Trading Ramsey now to a contender willing to overpay is their only viable option because the thing that is straining their relationship isn’t money, it’s Tom Coughlin.  Unless Khan is planning on firing Coughlin this

Meesseman is 6'4" with long arms, but she can’t/doesn’t really jump and she was awful at boxing out. She ended up under the rim on the defensive end more often than not.

I was at the game, and the rebounding was absolutely ridiculous. The Mystics could not buy a rebound on the defensive end. Anything that didn’t bounce long belonged to the Sun. Messseman and her much shorter Mystics teammates basically didn’t exist.

I’m a shit human being because I think a player who intentionally tries to hurt another player is a POS?

lol ok

(FTR: You guys are saying the options are hurt OBJ or get cut. That’s ridiculous. No coach is cutting a player who makes tackles and makes the right play solely because they didn’t hurt a player on the

Your counterpoint is that a coach is going to cut a player because he tackled an opponent and stopped him from gaining additional yards but didn’t appear to intentionally try to hurt the player in the process...

Maybe the couple hundred k on the line at my job is small potatoes by comparison, but when my bosses ask me to do unethical things, I dont.

My bosses wield power over me. When they’ve asked me to do things I deem unethical, I don’t do those things.

It’s really quite simple.

Here’s my issue: THE PLAYERS STILL HAVE TO GO OUT AND EXECUTE THE COMMANDS.

Beckham can be mad all he wants at Williams. But the reality is that some POS decided that regular ole football isn’t violent enough and he should go out and try to intentionally hurt a guy on the other team.

I do this pretty often at major games where good seats are ridiculous. For example, I paid a get in the door price for a ticket at the NCAA Championship Game and then found a block of four great seats that hadn’t been sold for me and my buddies to enjoy the game from.

Stub Hub is basically a roadmap for unused seats

By all accounts, Harden advocated for the trade. Of course, he also wanted Paul and then refused to change his game to fit the system Paul excels in. That was somewhat negated because Paul was willing to be active off the ball and is a deadly catch and shoot guy.

The big problem for the Rockets is that Russ is a

In case you were doubting Albert’s assertion that LeBron’s 51-8-8 game isn’t even top ten for him, I went over to basketball reference and compiled ONLY his 40+ point games. That performance against the Warriors is No. 19 overall in terms of gamescore:

I don’t understand why she’s been on the left at all. Correct me if I’m wrong, but hasn’t she played a central mid/attack position in tournaments past?

He’s going to the Lakers. He’s just waiting out Canada Day. Only thing worse than announcing that you’re leaving Cleveland on national television is announcing that you’re leaving Toronto on Canada Day.
