When I worked as a valet, the venue at which I worked was just across the street from a highway entrance where you could do a quick up and back in about 5 minutes. Obviously doing so was more than frowned upon, but I was working under the table and the owner of the company was a jerkoff. So one night the VIP lot…
Is Honda backing a portion of the payroll at Jalopnik or what?
With you, I think the new civic in any form is one of the ugliest new cars available.
It’s all about me when I’m car shopping, I don’t care what group of clowns the people of the internet associate the car with. Almost every car I have owned/currently own would put me in one of those categories.
Hah my first thought was hmm that kind of looks like the gorgeous A7 but it looks more like the frumpy 3GT.
D. The GTI is handsome, the Honda looks like transformer feces.
I’ve always loved the clover emblem. Such an underrated “performance” badge.
Touchscreen or no touchscreen I’ve not used an even remotely decent infotainment system besides carplay. Even that has its quirks.
My wife had to drag me into the ER in Kauai on the way home from our honeymoon because I was refusing to get on our return flight later that night. 4 Valium later I was good to go.
Are you in the USA? If so the push to start/proximity key is standard. That might be the case everywhere but I don’t know for sure.
Totally agree. I leave it in auto when I’m just putting to work and go full manual when I’m out for a spirited drive
haha that was my thought “you’re almost there, just go for it!”
Mines a 16 so no virtual cockpit, but it wouldn’t be worth it for me. Push to start is standard.
I love mine, and I was one of those “3 pedals or die” people. My only complaint is the electronic steering. Too soft in comfort mode, weirdly heavy in “dynamic” mode.
Perhaps argument was the wrong word to use, but it’s the same thing. I’ve never met a non-enthusiast who knows the difference between a bimmer/beemer. I had no idea that a CJ was not a wrangler until a Jeep guy told me so. Either one is pedantic.
That’s like the bimmer beemer argument. Die hard fanboys/girls are the only ones who care.
Agree, and beyond the brand VW’s are a lot “nicer” especially inside than most of their competition. Even if they are a little more expensive.
Vertical video and the camera man followed the car and missed the pool...just awful
