I daily drive a 22-year-old M5 with two child seats in the back and it’s at least as nice as this 540. I realize that’s not the norm, but too expensive/too nice to daily with kids it is not.

I don’t know about the world, but in the USA, I think the wealthy areas of the suburbs (any city) are it. You get a little bit of everything. Classics, super/hyper cars, regular fun cars, super weird/unique fun cars etc in great numbers.

A red protege 5 was my first “car” and yeah, I loved it at the time. I traded in my handed down 1997 Explorer on the Mazda. After the deal was done, I was sitting in my new car, and I watched a dealership employe back what was now their Explorer into another car! Anyway, it was my first “car”, my first manual, and

Ah that’s cool I didn’t know any of the vin decoders gave you the actual day of manufacture. It does not work for 7-digit VINs though. BMW archive also gives you the date of delivery, and the dealer it was delivered to, but I guess you already knew that info. I’ve got a 2002 born 5/2, an M3 born 2/19, and an M5 born

I didn’t even know the information was available until I imported an older Bimmer. Knowing the exact day of manufacture makes the customs process a little easier. Since it was that easy, I decided to find out for the other two cars, sadly none match up with any significant dates in my life. Still cool info to know.

Neat, but also and FYI, BMW has always/will give you this information for free albeit via email instead of a cool piece of paper. Send your vin to hdz.info@bmwgroup.com

My answer to this one has always been E39M5. E90M3 isn’t a bad choice either.

Tough to pick just one, but my first thought was BMW Estoril Blue.

2 BMW 2002s. One can be a little dusty for winter/bad weather.

I wrecked a one-month-old 2005 WRX while snow hooning. I sped up on a patch of dry road around a right-hand bend, in the middle of that bend was an unavoidable pile of snow from the plows. I hit it and went all the way sideways and had a split second to choose my fate, steer left and go off a cliff (rural VT) let the

A funny one about gas in the washer fluid reservoir... I had a Nitro powered R/C car as a kid, the fuel I had for it was blue and in a nearly identical jug to the washer fluid. I decided to stash it on the wall of the garage nearby (or maybe even right next to the actual washer fluid). Well, you see where this is

Everything else aside, this a great looking car! That’s the first time I’ve said that about anything new in a long time.

Does she want to sell the ranger privately? Asking for me.

The first one is truly awful in person I think it and the BMW ix take the cake in their own atrocious ways.

I know it’s easier to ticket for speeding but I would rather see ticketing for phone use in work zones everywhere. Tickets for using your phone while driving should be steep and undisputable with photo evidence.

My vote is to have the drivers race vintage F1 cars at Monaco. They are smaller and make the good noise. There are a myriad of reasons this will never happen but a guy can dream.

I learned to drive in a 1996 Ford Explorer. Weeks later I learned to drive a manual in a 1999 Saab 9-3
