Future of naval warfare will rarely, no....will never be between ships vs ships. It will be more like Navy ship vs Enemy jet, Air to Surface Missiles (or Air-launched anti-ship missiles), Cruise missiles, Land-based anti-ship missiles, and ballistic missiles.

I always thought that was a good way to handle this. China doesn’t want NK refugees flooding their country nor do they want the US military sitting on their border, so a direct annexation is out of the question. So what we should try to get them to agree to do is setup a puppet regime they have complete control over…

There will come a point where China will really consider invading North Korea (or instigate a coup) to prevent US, Japan, Korea from rolling in and taking over instead.
