Not going to argue with you over whose right and wrong cause neither of us know the real specs of these systems (unless you work with them). Only time will tell whether S-400 is truly a lethal system or just a propaganda fanfare propped up by people like moi.

Not a finance person so I don’t know a lot about cost, but I was just imagining a world where we were allies with China or Russia......Too optimistic I guess.

No one does except the Russians. They know if it works or not. Everything I’m saying is based on things I’ve read and those stuff don’t take the S-400 very lightly even when it’s against the stealthy F-22 and soon the F-35.

Read my comment properly before you reply. I never said it was invincible. It can be destroyed with an overwhelming force. Simply just lob a ton of HARM and cruise missiles at and it will work (because the system will run out of missiles.)

As much as it would be amazing to see US go to Mars first, I would be more happy if it was a united effort with Russia, the EU, and China. (India could join, but I’m not sure how far their space program has progressed.)

If it’s not operated by Russian forces, sure.....maybe (due to lack of training and not having the full complementary of Russian made SAM systems to defend to provide defense for the S-400.)

These islands are more sacrificial bases for China. The only good thing about them is they provide a deterrence in peace cause they have a Chinese flag waving on top of them.
