Well, okay, but you do realize the reason Epic changed their pricing structure on Unreal was to try and undercut Unity’s pricing and push it out of the market, right?

Well, it’s not actually doing “nothing”. As far as I know, all bandwidth and app storage comes from Google (so you don’t need your own servers to handle the app distribution), and Google probably also manages all that needs to be managed regarding the sale of everything, from a financial standpoint. Now, 30% may be

I feel like a bunch of people here didn’t realize the cut for the various digital stores was so large, its the money printer for running the OS ^^

Doing nothing? They make the operating system and hardware the game runs on. You think Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo don’t take their cut too? They all make and maintain the thing that Fortnite is running on. They’re taking advantage of the one platform that they can get away with.

I mean, it’s not nothing, they are providing a store front and interface for pushing out updates and stores always take at least a bit of the profit of selling things, but 30% does sound like an awful lot.

RIP. I had a bunch of money in Google Play cards leftover that I was going to dump in Fortnite, since I actively play it on PC. That went right out the window though because they’re being greedy.

The funny thing is that Apple takes 70% too. In fact, they set the standard and Google just followed them. But with Apple, it’s either the App Store or nothing. Android has the freedom to completely avoid the Play store. Kind of a scumbag move on Epic’s part. Aren’t they making enough money?

fist bumped before the guy wished him HBD. Cute!

This rule is only confusing if you don’t think they’ll call it as written. If they do call it as written, it means a major change to the way football is played and probably a dozen extra flags per game at a minimum. So maybe what they ought to do is call it during the preseason and then not implement it in the regular

The issue isn’t “making any contact” with the helmet, it’s “initiating contact” with the helmet. Read better.

You must have been a writer for Leno.

DAMMIT.

“woof” is also the sound air makes when escaping from a football

You’re all out of stars though

I feel like they’re trying to harp on it a lot more in preseason, so they’re going to throw flags even on times when it’s not necessarily head to head, just to make people aware of it.

People will die if you take away helmets. That happened in the old-days, and players are a shitload bigger and stronger now.

Yes? You just don’t tackle like a complete mong. Get your head outside the incoming players inside hip, lead with your shoulder, and then wrap. There might be a tiny bit of incidental contact, but it’s not going to be a helmet in the chest. They should pretty obviously do away with helmets, but that’s not about to

I think we should really consider doing away with helmets, as they are primarily used as a weapon these days. It’ll mean more ‘heads up’ football and proper work on fundamentals. Hell, it’ll most likely lead to a faster game anyway. And while we’re going along this way of thinking, I’d probably do away with shoulder

“I don’t know enough about the rule to understand it right now and comment on it.”

All of those seemed like fine calls to me? It looked like, in all three cases, the defender lowered himself down so that he was leading with the helmet. The 3rd one is the closest.
