Good god, who did(n’t?) they pay to make the cover to this thing? The level of design skill on display here looks like PowerPoint fucked Clippy and this is its bastard son.

I don’t know why, but it’s always driven me nuts when people pronounce it Jag-WIRE.

Why thank you. I daresay they make a lovely family when you take them all in together. You’d never guess which one started the fire.

I’ve been dying of laughter at this, and it forced me to figure out why. I call it “The Gradient Scale of Doofusness.” If you read his face from left to right, it starts out at extreme doofusness and transitions pretty cleanly into just a pretty boring looking dude. Now, if we isolate the less-doofus-esque right side

No kidding! I just started Tokyo Mirage Sessions and between that and a solid dozen or so indie and retail titles I still have more to complete than I reasonably could before the system expires. I guess if you don’t like Nintendo’s output, though, the Wii U has very little to offer, and from that perspective, I

It’s amazing the persuasive power and influence sales can have on public opinion. Like the Vita, it became cool to hate the Wii U in the past few years, and I don’t think there’s much either system could do to reverse that fate.

I keep dreaming that someday they’ll release a range extender for the Wii U gamepad, but I think it’s wise to let that particular dream die now. Alas. I’d kill for the range to extend far enough to play in my bedroom as well, but hopefully the NX solves those problems as well.

Apparently people blaze through a AAA sandbox game at a rate of about 1 every 2 weeks, from what I can gather.

Agreed. It bums me out. I don’t know if I just love what everyone else hates, but honestly, it’s my favorite Nintendo console since the SNES, overall. They nailed SO MANY of their major franchises, made them all look and play amazing, added great online features for a good number of them, and my Wii U library SHAMES

The Wii U was actually sold at a loss when it debuted, though, making it all the more puzzling. Sure, apparently with one game sold it became profitable, but still.... I like the gamepad for off-tv play, but man, even if just due to bringing up the costs, it really shot them in the foot.

Sometimes, I really love the internet; now is one of those times. That is nothing shy of incredible.

That was my first thought as well. Those poor people working there. I can only imagine how sick of it they all are at that restaurant.

I noticed that, too. I’m assuming they didn’t want to undermine their Wii U Zelda focus at E3 this year by saying “No, the other version is SO MUCH BETTER........ and you can wait to find out about that! But.... please care about the previous-gen version of it.... please?” People wouldn’t have had any interest in the

I suspect people will cringe when someone says “VR” in the same way that they cringe now when they hear “motion control.” I have no serious issue with motion controls used well (I never had an issue with it in Skyward Sword, and loved it.... and more recently, I loved Star Fox Zero, so maybe I’m just insane), but I

I think this is what has been puzzling me most. People rip Nintendo a new ass for every “gimmick” they attempt, but man..... “hardcore gamers” seem to be lapping up VR, even if it’s one of the most pointlessly gimmicky things I’ve ever seen. I’ve been so puzzled by what feels like a groundswell of positivity around

___

Rats. Was hoping nobody else already posted my boy Scyther. You have marvelous taste.

“Still look like you belong courtside dancing for the Timberwolves, or something.”

Ironically, I feel like people now love the Metroid Prime collection on the Wii for the new controls. It’s amazing how much things change with a little time. Kinda sad as well. It feels like now more than ever everyone on the internet throws a tantrum about anything different, and then eventually people grow the hell

If you can rent it, go for it. If you’ve played Splatoon a good deal and you’re used to the gyro controls, you’ll have an easier time adjusting, I suspect.
