Oh, nice choice with the Lamy Safari! They are, hands down, the best writing inexpensive fountain pen on the market. Great for beginners and vets who are looking for something that can carry around with them and not fear it breaking or getting damaged. @rhizomatics: May I inquire what type of ink you are using? I have the same type of problem with the Levenger ink or some other inks. I use Higgen's India Fountain Pen Ink, which is just pre-watered down Higgen's India ink. I take that and add more of the concentrated India Ink to make it a bit thicker and the result

I'm in love with my small paper backed moleskine notebooks (but the leather bound ones are great too—depending on your needs). They are a pretty penny, I admit, especially if you take a whole lot of notes. I go through one small book every six odd months filled with quick notes, and one small one in a year.

I believe it. I've spent many a good hours brushing up on the story and characters. Not to mention editing base id information for items.

I've been doing this for years on my secondary monitor which is a old ViewSonic CRT. It's great for stuff that needs to get done that's not on the computer, and something that's going to be taken care quickly (or else I'd use a post-it).
