Well, I see the exact opposite. I see the ball moving (very slightly mind you) in a way that looks like it is attached to his top hand with a string. Easier to see in the video than GIF. I guess we will agree to disagree.

That ball is definitley hanging from his upper hand. Maybe fishing line tied to a washer with something really sticky at the other end. At the end, when he brings his top hand up, the ball comes up about an inch with it.
