I would also say, under knowing a quality mechanic, see what tools they are using. Quality mechanics use Snap-on, for the most part. They are expensive tools, but they last a lifetime and mechanics that invest in them want the best tool and the best way to fix your car.

I drive from Madison to Milwaukee everyday and back for the last year or so. It's about an hour and change depending on Milwaukee traffic (a.k.a. someone crashed into someone else or Brewers game day).
