I’m sorry, but you are the one that doesn’t understand what “Trek” is about. Star Trek:TOS was about social issues in the 60's, politics, and the Cold War. They were morality tales set in space. The Klingons were the Russians, the Romulans were the Chinese, The Vulcans (which were difficult to tell apart from the

I’m sorry but the fact that shows are both based on Star Trek and take vastly different directions, begs comparison. One is more faithful to the original vision of Star Trek, the other is Discovery. I watch both, but the Orville is more “Trek” than the one that bears the name.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again:  The Orville is a better Trek show than the actual Trek show.  Seriously.  Goofy comedy beats aside, it is a classic sci-fi show.  Their latest episode was a time travel episode too but they actually told a story while doing it.

The Orville did their time travel retcon better... as usual.  The Orville is a better Trek show than the actual Trek show.

First, just because google allows duck duck go integration in its browser doesn’t mean they are google. Apple allows duck duck go integration in safari too. Second, just because I said I don’t use google doesn’t mean that I stopped there and claimed victory. Every app I use is considered for it’s use of my data.

I've been doing this for years, but it would be nice if it was automatic.

Also, google has never been forthright with your data. Thats their business model. I once had a conversation with a google engineer. I asked him if it was true that they scan your emails. He confirmed that they do. Their business is built on selling your data.

The point is to mitigate the damage. Google is the worts offender , so they are out. I give access to my data only to those I need to and block those that don’t need it. This defeatist attitude that you can’t do anything about it because others track you too, is just sad.  If you support companies like apple who

Location can be turned off, yes, but I like using my gps from time to time and don't want to have to turn it on and off every time.  I selectively give access to the apps that need it.  Also, there is no evidence that apple has been anything but forthright about how they handle my data.  Google is creepy.  They scan

And I’m saying that there are precautions that can help mitigate the damage.  One big step in the right direction is drop google.

You could turn on or off FaceTime. Also, that was a bug. This is by design. That’s the difference. Google want’s your data and designs their products to gather it. Apple designs their products to keep your data out of even their own hands.  They made a mistake and corrected it.  You get the difference, right?

I do use tracking blockers.

I stand by that statement. It was a bug. Unintentional. This is by design. That’s the difference.  There is no Hypocrisy here.

I actually use Duckduckgo for search and cloudflare for dns.  Works pretty well so far.

Are you excusing their bad behavior because others do it too? So why bother even trying to reduce how much you are tracked, right? With google you aren’t the customer, you are the product.

This is why I never use google or any of it’s products.

Sorry, Mark Hamill is the best Joker.  It’s not even close.

The problem with Zack Snyder is he fundamentally doesn’t understand the characters in his movies. He doesn’t understand Superman, Rorshach or Batman.  It’s amazing that he can make an almost panel for panel adaptation of Watchmen without ever understanding the story or characters in it.

What’s wrong with apple mail?  I’ve been using it for 10 years.  Never had a problem with it.  Though I don’t work at a desk and don’t need email for my job.

There were so many there that I didn’t even see these. Here is a couple I did see:
