I suspect part of the Tilda Swinton casting was because China. The Ancient One is supposed to be some Tibetan type of mystical leader. So if you cast an Asian, you still get grief unless they are Tibetan - like, “Marvel just thinks all Asians are the same and the cultures are interchangeable!”.
