@Sprzout: No, throttling traffic is part of net neutrality. Bittorrent is just the most common example done, and piracy is just the most common use of bittorrent unfortunately and the justification used for such throttling.

That's not at all impressive, especially when you consider its the last gen owners that have mostly re-adopted it.

@chaboud: They don't tell you how frequently the data is accessed, what it's accessed for, or what is done with the data. In other words, it's not enough.

I've been harping on this for the longest time. I find it absolutely amazing that year ago, everyone was flipping out about spyware on their systems... Meanwhile, the majority of apps you're now using on your phone collect and transmit far more data than ever before.

Considering they announced over a year ago they were investing in App development for these purposes, it would only make sense.

The nice thing the update did for me was get Gmail to actually work. I gave up on it after getting my Desire weeks ago, only to keep checking it and being told that it's connecting and to check again later.

I don't want AirPlay at all. For a wireless and interoperable technology, Apple shouldn't be your hub. I hope manufacturer's just wake up and realize this and simply start offering more universal solutions.
