Hi! I’m glad you like Bernie. As I said, my complaint is against the white men who loudly support Bernie and who are assholes to people who don’t agree with them. I believe that they spend a lot of time talking about poc support of Bernie while turning lots of potential supporters off with their toxic tactics.  I have

The using of Women and POC to shield from the very real fact that Bernie has really toxic online trolls concerns me.

They’re both populists who say what they think their base wants to hear. Anecdotally, the only people who have aggressively mocked, bullied and attacked myself and other people on social media over their choice of candidate are Trump supporters and Sanders supporters. I don’t see this coming from any other candidate’s

The Bernie-Bros were much more serious and numerous than the Clinton-stans in 2008.  Virtually all of those Clinton supporters went over and voted for Obama in the general.  While something like 90% or more of Bernie primary voters ended up voting for Clinton in the general a crucial segment of them didn’t.  And it

The nastiest responses on Twitter that I have gotten are actually from Sanders supporters. Not saying Trump supporters aren’t nasty, too. The difference is I say I don’t like Sanders, but I’d vote for him in the general if he gets the nom. And that draws a rain of fire. If I say Trump is a criminal and a lifelong scam

In the aftermath of the Trump Ascendancy, I attended a rally hosted by Our Revolution and headlined by Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. Elizabeth was a ball of refocused energy - she talked in a combination of campaign-speech rhetoric and specific policy points. (I’ve seen her speak a few other times as well - and

I don’t blame Bernie for 2016, but I am sick and tired of his minions ruining every freaking conversation I’m trying to have about Democrats anywhere on the internet.

She so unpopular that she got 2.9 million more votes than Trump... Wait that's the opposite of being unpopular.

I don’t really care if Hillary is helping or not in 2020. She did her part in 2016. We did our part. And she’s absolutely right about Bernie, who is really, really not helping.

the constant erasure of white asshole bernie bros hiding behind women and poc is really interesting to watch. I’m sick and tired of being told that my experience during the 2016 election didn’t happen. I was constantly told that my choices were disingenuous and that sexism wasn’t possible for these white men. It

Alternate take: she IS helping.

People seem unable to hold two concepts at a time. You can bemoan the quality of current democratic candidates while stating you will vote democrat no matter what.

“It’s not only him, it’s the culture around him. It’s his leadership team. It’s his prominent supporters. It’s his online Bernie Bros and their relentless attacks on lots of his competitors, particularly the women...he has permitted this culture.”

She shouldn’t be the one making these comments but she has a point in that they’re both populists. Personally I’m not a fan of populism, especially the nationalist, xenophobic right wing variety but I’m not a fan of left wing populists either.

I also have grown tired of his cult members accusing anyone of being antisemitic anytime people criticize him . You’re not woke when you do this, you’re not going to win over any of the Jewish vote with this, and quite frankly as a Jewish person I feel embarrassed for you. (general Bernie fan “you” not you in

Nobody will give a shit about this in two weeks. This is just a way to get performative Twitter dorks to yell at each other.

Ugh, get over it, move the fuck ON. (not just you but Ashley Reese, too)

But Sanders’s supporters are not entirely comprised of rose emoji Twitter personalities who waste time dunking on Kamala Harris supporters on social media all day. They also include prominent elected officials like Congresswomen Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and most recently Pramila Jayapal;

They also include prominent elected officials like Congresswomen Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and most recently Pramila Jayapal; all women of color, not angry white leftist men behind computer screens. Where do they fit in the culture Sanders has permitted? Are they included, or deliberately

Ehh, I agree with her. I’ll vote for him if he gets the nomination, but I hope he doesn’t.
