Where I live, the cycling lanes are... magical. They start, swerve, and end haphazardly. Many measure a few tens of feet. Some go “the wrong way” on one-way streets, which means oncoming traffic will often block your path, and not entirely by fault of their own, as those “contrarian” lanes are not marked.
I (...) found riding around Paris felt about 100x safer than any City in the US.
