You’re probably right - but in that case I don’t see the point of having that “fake cover” made, in the same hue as the interior. It would have looked so much better if they had designed this a bit like the ‘60s Conti, with nothing showing.

But there weren’t less vehicle-miles during the project, they just found alternate routes. The same number of cars were on the road - just there were fewer on the freeway. Those may have been going faster, but overall pollution was the same.
