I do agree with points in this article. Most times game day is not the right time to do corrective instruction for the parent seats. That being said it does not allow for reasons with alternate opinion. Do my daughter’s have coaches? Yes. But what do I do when I ask them the after the next practice what the coaches

Advice that says “In general your parents give bad advice” is as situationally accurate as “Today it will rain” (if said every day) For example, my wife had student loans... why can’t she offer valid advice to our kids about how to pay them off?

So many movies today start with “Base on real events...” but the events they are based on are not have as intriguing as these. I hope a movie is made to give us one persons interpretation of what happened. And since no one actually knows it will give them a lot of rope to fill in the blanks.

“Deep dish pizza. That is the reason anyone goes to Chicago.”

This is the type of advice that feels warm and fuzzy, solves a problem people have, but at it’s core is total BS. Parenting is not about being your kids friend or consultant or whatever. Children have to be forced to do the hard things until their brains are developed enough to understand things like delayed

I feel it is worth pointing out a few things:

Not trolling... just tired for people elevating small concerns to be world-wide problems and scaring so many people (parents) in the process. People will read this article and have fear over this issue that is not in line with the magnitude of the problem. Again... children die of many preventable things, but this

1,000 kids per month choke on food.

(not trying to be political... please don’t get partisan)

“Depending on what kind of toilet you have, each flush utilizes anywhere between 1.5 and five gallons of water and that’s reportedly 24 gallons of water each day.”

Why does Superman need a chest plate at all?

So why doesn’t the TSA pass some of it’s costs along to the airports, who would pass it on down until it eventually landed in the airplane ticket bucket? It seems like if people want to get through security faster, and we agree security needs to be in place, then some (more/ not all) of the cost needs to be passed to

I can’t help but wonder if this amendment sees the light of day if 50% of Congress was women. Comment goal is not to be sexist but it is much easier to take away a benefit that you yourself don’t use. Not a lot of old white men waking up to a missed aunt Flo appointment (for themselves, not a staffer).

In my house we take one box Blueberry and one box Raspberry and mix them together for a double batch (which fits perfectly into a 12 unit muffin tin). There are never any leftovers.

This article is basically arguing for self-insuring purchases. This is a well identified and proven method of insurance. In general, insurance works best for protecting a person from a loss the can not afford. Many people can afford the loss of a $300 leaf blower or a $150 microwave. So, in these cases, self-insurance

Anyone remember how “The Wonder Years” ended with Kevin and Winnie NOT getting together? Remember how mad everyone was? Stories are for the audience, not always for realistic representations of the world. If they were realistic there would be so much more boredom and nothing.
