This is why the dealership model is turrible.
First, even more than the cars (most of which I can’t afford), I read NPOCP for writing like this:
1. Hertz manages to rent me cars for a full day for way less than $100. No reason a dealership can’t do the same.
So what you’re saying is that EVERYONE is getting fucked. Customers get fucked by salespeople, salespeople get fucked by the owner, dealers get fucked by the manufacturer, etc.
Everybody all together now: This is why the dealership model is terrible.
You win all of the things today.
Now this is good trollin.
They are also forced to use them when manufacturers dictate. Plus as far as journalism credit..jalopnik isn't high on the list
it’s not a contest.
Everyone who writes with a ton of snark thinks they are being original and clever as well. It’s like “No you fucking idiot everyone else is already doing it. Stop.”
I absolutely agree with you but here’s where you’ve lost touch with reality somewhat. Most manfacturers aren’t going to hand every bike they make to every publication for them to just have it for months on end to put a thousand miles on it plus then the review wouldn’t be timely.
Long term press cars are a rarity for…
You say ex-racers like it’s a bad thing. I agree about always seeing the latest literbike/600 supersport shootouts being just the same over and over again. But remember, racing motorcycles is also something regular working folks do on weekends. Be it motocross, hare scrambles, XR100’s on flat track, or road racing,…
Agree - but with less snark. Somehow snarking and acting anti-establishment has become synonymous with good writing.
Didn’t Wes say something like this, then he gave up and went camping for a living?
Can you PLEASE make naked bike reviews ? FCZ-09, R9T? These are simpler and lighter bikes that aren't as cuckoo as 600cc Sportsbikes.
Bewbs definitely ease the trauma!
