Theory:
Younger people don’t have the disposable income nor the means to buy a second car for “fun” the way Baby Boomers and early and mid Gen-Xers did. As such later Gen-X, Millenial, and Z enthusiasts won’t drive up the market on ‘80s and ‘90s cars the way Greatest Generationers and Baby Boomers did with ‘50s and

Ziploc plastic vs diesel fuel, how many minutes will it take for diesel to win?

this is an electric vehicle, its power should be listed in kilowatts instead of horsepower. or is this another stupid “we’re ‘muricans, we do shit different from literally everyone else on this planet hurr durr” thing?

This for sure - Fabio was only running a few tenths slower at one point while Mark was busy hauling ass. Even if he hadn’t crashed he wasn’t catching Fabio.

I am not saying he deserved it, I do not wish injury on any rider, but his rational when getting back on the track and pushing the limits of those tires to make all those moves to the front of the pack is part of why I don’t like him as a racer. He is either win it all or die trying.

Marquez is never boring... that’s a pretty crazy thing to even suggest. He might in fact be the most exciting racer in decades. He answers every pass with another pass. He qualifies on pole on slicks in a wet track. He steers with the rear wheel (aka drifts) more than anyone. His lean angle is regularly the highest in

Rivalries are what make racing great. Not domination. He is a true joy to watch but it would be way more enjoyable if someone was regularly pushing the shit out of him.

could have even made a run at Quartararo before disaster struck in the form of a nasty highside crash.”

This hour-long race was more entertaining than the entire 2019 F1 season combined.

As incredible a magician as Marquez is, like all right-thinking racing fans, I desperately want someone to knock Marquez off his throne, cheering him to victory is like cheering the house in Vegas, it’s just not any fun.

Mk I/Mk II Escort RS; no hybrid/electric BS, manual trans and carbon fiber to keep the weight down, turbo optional and rally race the bajeebus out of them!!

Volvo is killing it lately but think they could use some more character/quirkiness. I bet if they brought back an iconic model like the 240, especially if it were electric and highly customizable, there would be huge interest. This sketch from @thesketchmonkey isn’t exactly what I imagine, but shows how well the 240

Datsun 240ZX. You’d have to beef up the pillars slightly to meet modern standards, but the lines on that car will never not be fantastic. Give it a straight six with a bit of torque-y grunt and let it compete in the same segment the BR-Z basically has to itself right now.

Obviously a modern 240z or z enspired car would be an amazing 370z replacement.

Modern Saab Sonnett anyone?

Datsun 510, or BMW 2002, or a 914.

I think that the Wolseley Gyrocar is ripe for a revival. Modern car design seems to lack. any reference to the inevitability of death or serious mutilation.

This seems like part of a PR distraction strategy; I’m not sure what is the point of this from a branding standpoint. It certainly makes no sense from a liguistic/historical perspective.

The old Nissan hamburger logo featured the “rising sun” because it was integral to the name of its prewar zaibatsu: Nippon Sangyo

What pray tell was wrong with this?
