I still think you’ve gotta cough up the receipts if you’re asking this much for an older 944, even an S2. Can it get this price? Sure. But you’ve gotta show that it’s been well-maintained, and that something like the timing belt isn’t a ticking time bomb of unknown provenance. I don’t trust shiny paint resprays on…

That’s a pretty unrealistic position to take. My car cost $25k. I don’t have that sitting around so I had to finance it, but that by no means implies I can’t afford it.

It’s definitely at the high end for an IS, but you should always buy the best you can afford, and this looks like it would outscore Ballaban’s Sportcross at Carlisle.

Unpopular opinion, I think the MKIII is better looking (and has aged better) than the MKIV.
