Counterpoint:

today we learn not to make smart comments if you want “air-time” :-D

Umm, fairytale land must not have gotten the same MR2's. $2k won’t get you a trashed AUTOMATIC first-gen. Casual browsing MR2 listings for a few years lends that $7-9k gets you a nice 2nd gen usually w/o a turbo.

As the saying goes “I wouldn’t do her w/ your junk”..... but sounds like a big fat lumbering party of a NP regardless

I’ll just leave this (and it’s 1992 pimtacular glory)here....... I did more goofy shit to that thing that I care to admit..... and THEN took it to “car shows” with my buddies thinking I was incredibly cool....hrmmm

2-3 years of casual CL searching a 200+ mile radius from me I’ve not seen an FB’s that ran for less than this and most of those were ragged! Please direct me to the state of better cheap cars.

Tartan Seats all the things!!

oh well.... wouldn’t let me link the pic?! - 2005 Nissan 350z Convertible

yes :-D . In case you aren’t aware there are more than a few people out there that appreciate customization in whatever forms that may take, and what’s presented in these movies is far from “hacked”. semi-ridiculous and bearing no resemblance to our understanding of physics, sure!

Thanks, now the rest of my day is shot trolling CL for late 80's W201s

Came here to address that, nicely done. I will add that a rear plate without those holes is a common available part (so as not to let all that heat up into the engine bay) Unsure if these cars were built without heat to begin with, given it’s origins or if this one was just built that way.

My high-school girlfriend had one of these, it was brand new, lets not do the math on that..... thanks for the smile for the morning.

But even David admitted to making up his own history to go with the bumps and bruises. I agree with David’s notion of appreciating/loving/saving old cars and for his very reasons that they have charm, style and speak to me as crusty jeeps seem to speak to him. However, I also agree with Slschembari, I want my old

I watched with great interest a BAT auction last week for the pristine sister of my own haggard 944, that car sold for over $14,000. This car is in far better shape than many 944's that are left driving and the asking price is around the going rate for a running garbage one. This one with a small amount of love and

Very simple machines really, but yes, you can quite easily sink more than they are worth in them. That metric is slowly changing but still fairly true

the CP voters have lost their sense of adventure..... heads to CL looking for a Fiero.....

Most definite “drop a zero” NPOCP in a good while. (and I still wouldn’t touch it with anything short of a flamethrower but....)

You sir continue to make good life choices! Congratulations and please keep making many of us question our own (if only I could have talked to you 15-20 years ago)

Nice article, I like your review......

I tend to agree, although I live in the south and work on “ferruhn cars”. I struggle to force them to get a part I know I need because it doesn’t match the car and it’s vin tag I am tinkering on.
