Keef has my favorite take on the subject:

  • 1. Voice your concern

Thank you for this. I’m so annoyed by these entitled “fans” crying all over the Internet, focusing on what’s missing and ignoring all the good stuff.

Wonderful, intelligent, impassioned words... that will fall on deaf ears.

A-freaking-men to all of this. I am having a blast in Galar and GameFreak did an excellent job. It feels fresh and and exciting to roam through the Wild Area, seeing all those little ‘mons just hanging about, waiting to chase me as I ride past.

Yesterday, I told my daughter there were over 400 pokémons to catch. She was amazed. That’s all I really wanted from this game. I really like the QoL features that respect my time as a grown-ass adult also! Can’t say I relate to the baby-made shitstorm at all.

Amen. I think 8-8.5/10 is accurate. The overworld pokemon are a fantastic change along with the wilds. I am excited to see how the meta turns out for this game.

With all the Dexit uproar, it’s hard to tell if this is just some NPCbabble or some great shade-throwing.

Go a month without internet, see if you will still be able to play those Steam games.

The new GUI is permanent (the simple tabless one), game pass and gold share a screen, and I think will eventually be combined, streaming to everything (its fun to play Xbox on my galaxy note 10+ on the go, I attach my xb1 controller), simplified settings menus, not a lot else front facing that I can think of.

You’ll never overcome the basic physics though.  No matter how much bandwidth you have there will always be additional latency compared to running a game on a local machine.  It's inescapable.

I live just outside of Des Moines, and my internet speed is 3.5 mbps. Stadia is the opposite of feasible here.

All of this. I live out in the boonies, and have satellite internet. For some things it isn’t awful; but the fact is my ability to download or stream anything other than video that can buffer is depressing at best.  And it’s unlikely that I’m going to get access to even mediocre Comcast anytime even relatively soon.

My parents had a 30GB/month data cap until last week. There are a ton of people who simply do not have access to internet that is good enough to reliably stream 1080p video with non-noticeable input lag. At least with regular video streaming, you can load ahead of the current playback location. I can’t imagine

I also live in a not-podunk Texas city and I pay 70/month for 18 mb. On a good day I get 10. I doubt my story is unique.

I think that swagger’s going to be mitigated by the fact that there’s a subscription fee (for the pro level, anyhow) combined with having to buy the games (which isn’t the case for most other sub-streaming services) on top of the latency problem.

It’s a grand idea, but its pricing model sucks, and the connectivity

I think people forget that Indiana Jones was one of the most successful franchises ever BECAUSE he was a ‘normal’ aged man who would be treasure hunting as opposed to a 20something hipster who would still be working on his postgrad?

I get it, if it’s honest. But whatever belief systems you hold aside I’m also of the mind it’s time we also actually DID SOMETHING on this planet in the here and now, regarding out of control gun violence. Condolences are good; putting in even the bare minimum of controls so random psychos can’t get their hands on way

The OP probably should have said more likely to be killed falling down the stairs than killed by a random shooter. Most of those 40,000 are people that knew each other or suicides.

Even though she became part of *this* statistic, she was more likely to die in a car accident while driving to or from there.  She was more likely to be killed by her boyfriend than killed in a random shooting such as this. Most of us are very safe from this kind of random crime.
