Pretty much hit the nail on the head with this. Some of these first edition NES games come with subtle nuances make them extremely rare. Some people say nowadays they are the equivalent of owning a Superman #1 based on low initial launch numbers, and only being in test markets like New York.

This sounds strange, and I guess I just don’t understand people.  It sounds as though he just wanted a large collection of something so he can tell people that he has a famous collection.  What’s the point if you don’t actually care about what it is you’re collecting?  How sad of a person is this guy?
