People with 3GS phones would have upgraded no matter what was introduced. Restricting Siri to the iPhone 4S incentivized iPhone 4 customers to upgrade when they otherwise wouldn't have.

Easy there, tiger. I'm not criticizing their decision. I would have made the same decision were I in Apple's shoes.
There's only one reason Siri isn't on the iPhone 4: with Siri on the 4, there's very little reason to upgrade. It was the lynchpin feature of the iPhone 4S. Without Siri exclusivity, the 4S's launch would have suffered mightily.
The horizon is tilted. I'll offer $44,999 and not a penny more.
Siri only works on iPhone 4S and we currently have no plans to support older devices.
The terms "dump truck" and "load" have never been more aptly applied.
You're creeping on a dead guy?
That's an idiotic comment. Thousands of people have been killed for protesting in Syria.
Looking at Woz, I'm not sure he played much tennis.
Good grief. There's a continuum between "no security" and "groping your junk security".
Even if this is true (and I really doubt it), it's likely that the pre-9/11 screening techniques of metal detectors and X-rays would catch them all.
The old system is still there, but you have to manually switch off Siri to get to it. Automatically reverting to the old basic system would be a good idea, though.
Don't project your (obviously low) moral standards onto me. You're pretending that these people have no other option, but that's patently untrue. If you choose to believe it, fine, but I object to the premise.
Invoking a Nazi comparison isn't a logical fallacy as long as the comparison is valid. In this case, you're using Nazi logic ("I was just doing my job!") to defend the violation of rights by a government agent. The Nazi comparison is valid, in my opinion.
The difference is that my job doesn't violate anyone's constitutional rights. The Constitution is the foundational legal document of the United States. It's not a set of guidelines.
There's such a thing as principle. I wouldn't become a drug dealer to make ends meet. I wouldn't become a burglar to make ends meet. I have no pity on someone who chooses to violate my rights to make ends meet.
For the record, I would not be rude to the police dog. OHH LOOK HOW CUTE.
If you can't see the difference in a gate agent informing you the flight is late and a TSA agent violating your constitutional rights, then I'm not sure I can help you.
I completely disagree.
Yes. The hijacking risk has been virtually eliminated at this point, leaving bombing as the biggest legitimate risk.
