@RuckingFetard: ORLY? Interesting, didn't know that.
@RuckingFetard: ORLY? Interesting, didn't know that.
@Trystian: Promoted and hearted.
I got my first job in a world beyond belief for today's graduate - yes, the heady days of 2006. I picked the company I wanted to work for, and they hired me without even having an open position.
Just some facts for those who are inevitably going to freak out about the profit margins of these manufacturers:
@justagigilo85: No, your comment just confirms your ignorance.
@Nitesh2: Volume. Apple Haz It. RIM does not.
@highfloydelity: My best is that Apple's getting heavy discounts due to the drastic volume difference. Not only are they selling far more iPhones than RIM is Torches, but the iPod Touch uses the same screen.
@MifuneT: Most estimates from places like iSuppli and similar spots account for volume discounts, so I'm guessing this infographic does too.
That profit margin's just on the actual physical parts; they don't literally make that much money every time you buy a phone.
@Graviton1066: What they're doing at that URL is not healthy!
Can anyone recognize the rollmark on the AR-15? Looks like DoubleStar to me. Definitely a MagPul PMag, though.
It's obvious Walter Bishop just stole this super-advanced technology from the alternate universe.
@ru486: Not everyone lives in your time zone.
@smd58tx: The subject was wearing very thick clothes. There's almost no way a Taser's barbs would have reliably penetrated a downy winter jacket like that.
@Hearthatvoiceagain has not been compromised: It's just overdone. Everything about the presentation was so artistic, but then most of the world's default font was used at the end. Bleh.
@rebeldevil: Wouldn't it wear down pretty quickly from normal driving?
@RoBorg: Worldwide nuclear holocaust isn't a realistic scenario - MAD still works today.
All that work, and the ending "Thank You" is still in Times New Roman.
@wolrah: It's not their business model. Guess how expensive Control4 would be if they had to increase their tech support staff a hundredfold to help the 99% of the population who is incapable of installing the system themselves and too cheap to hire a professional?
@MrSmoofy: My manual light switch is also cheaper than Control4, but I don't pretend it's as good like most X10 owners do.
