@Agagulba: Well, to me, marketing a display as an "LED" display is intentionally misleading. I know "LCD with LED backlight" is a mouthful, but it's certainly more accurate.

@Agagulba: To my eye, there's a subtle but noticable improvement to LCD picture quality when LED backlights are used. They also save power compared to similar sized displays with CCFL backlights.
@Agagulba: "LED" TVs aren't anything like OLED. They're LCD panels with LED backlights behind them.
@BlackYoshi: Yep. The picture quality is awful too.

@blyan: There's a fine line between "OMG this is old, they did it like a year ago on Mythbusters" and "Hey, they did this on Mythbusters. Another interesting thing Jamie and Adam discovered was _______".
@ReticulatedJig: Yep. I scoffed at the idea that it wouldn't just melt one's fingers off, but sure enough, they did it successfully.

@bananafishtoday: Head asplode.
@MacGyver1138: Just think about living back when the 1934 Gun Control Act was passed...the tax was still $200 back then. That's $3,271.95 in today's dollars.

@Sam: Guns are statistically used for good far more often than for evil.
@rjachmann: That's what I'm talking about. Love it.
@whmr: Thanks for making my point.
