West Wing (mainly the first 2 seasons)

You guys sounds awesome, and your kid is lucky to have you as parents. When my parents got divorced, it was rough for a couple of years, and then they put their differences aside and became friendly. So much so, that when my paternal grandparents passed away and it looked like my dad would be alone on thanksgiving

My mom gave me a book since I liked to read. I took one look at the cover and tossed it in my closet.

Yeah, this was after my mom ended a 5 year engagement with a man who burned hot dogs, and that was the extent of his cooking skills.

My mother's advice to me when I started dating: "I don't care about race or religion, but make sure you find a man who can COOK!"

Cooking, doing the dishes and home repair are my top 3. And I would add: putting things on the top shelf. I'm short! I can't reach and can't be bothered to find a stool, just be a dear and put the tupperware above the sink please!

That is pretty cool, and pretty much what I try to do now.

I had a friend who was a physics major who explained it to me. I forget exactly what it was, some principle that explains traffic. All I remember was that she said that to combat it, you need to try to avoid starting and stopping too much, so leave enough space between you and the car in front of you that when they

I did not know that! That's so cool :)

My father is 5'3" but my husband is 6 feet tall. I would have dated shorter men if they had asked me, but I was too shy to make the first move, and the only guys who ever asked me out were usually in the 6 foot range.

As a kid, I would have been more bummed out to realize I was not a fox than to think that I couldn't be a doctor.

Darwin award?

Ugh, I hate summers more than winters. At least in the winter it's acceptable for me to wear heavy sweaters and thick tights, but in the summer the building is so air conditioned that either I dress really warmly (and risk being teased by my boss) or freeze. And even if I do dress warmly, I get blasted by hot air

My dog was $20, which included neutering and microchipping. We got him on sale because he was an older dog, at the shelter we went to it was $100 for dogs under 2 years old and "free" (if the dog was already neutered and you weren't interested in microchipping) if they were older than 2 years.

Born in '82 and I had a Donnie doll and one of their comic books (seriously, their merchandising was amazing!)

I'm 5 feet tall, so when maxi dresses were the thing, I really despaired of finding one. But I really really wanted a maxi! So I figured I'd look for a one that could reasonably be hemmed. But so many had ruffles or detailing at the bottom, and when you are looking to cut off 8-12 inches of fabric, that loses all

Ann Taylor Loft is the best place to find well made petite clothing. A lot of other places just cut regular clothing down to fit, which makes it hang really weirdly on my body. But I actually found a petite sized maxi dress that didn't need to be hemmed at all! I was so excited :)

YES! High school was easy just because it came after high school. It also helped, that for me, I went to a different high school so I wasn't stuck with the same kids from middle. Cause they were the worst. Everyone is so status conscious and more likely to do or say mean things just to keep or increase their

Did you name him or did the foster? Either way, great name!

Hmm, so I could read them the children's version of the bible, the torah, Greek mythology, Norse Mythology...and just make them all different types of stories.
