For what it's worth, I think it does get a lot better. The first two books only lightly brush on the big plot, which is about the emperor who tried to take over all the fairy tale lands forcing the characters to escape to our world. There are a lot of collected volumes though, I think I read through to volume 12,

That is pretty cool, and pretty much what I try to do now.

I had a friend who was a physics major who explained it to me. I forget exactly what it was, some principle that explains traffic. All I remember was that she said that to combat it, you need to try to avoid starting and stopping too much, so leave enough space between you and the car in front of you that when they

I did not know that! That's so cool :)

My father is 5'3" but my husband is 6 feet tall. I would have dated shorter men if they had asked me, but I was too shy to make the first move, and the only guys who ever asked me out were usually in the 6 foot range.

As a kid, I would have been more bummed out to realize I was not a fox than to think that I couldn't be a doctor.

Darwin award?

That's so weird, I first learned about dystopian literature in high school from reading 1984, Brave New World and Fahrenheit 451. It's not a new concept, so if you haven't heard it before, it's more likely that you just weren't as interested in that sub genre.

Ugh, I hate summers more than winters. At least in the winter it's acceptable for me to wear heavy sweaters and thick tights, but in the summer the building is so air conditioned that either I dress really warmly (and risk being teased by my boss) or freeze. And even if I do dress warmly, I get blasted by hot air

My dog was $20, which included neutering and microchipping. We got him on sale because he was an older dog, at the shelter we went to it was $100 for dogs under 2 years old and "free" (if the dog was already neutered and you weren't interested in microchipping) if they were older than 2 years.

Having MSS definitely helped me pass the exams during patho/pathphysiology. I'd go into the test and start thinking, well I know the symptoms of hypothyroidism because I definitely had it yesterday. I ruled at the endrocrine section, and the kidney section, I was a lot weaker in microbiology weirdly enough. I was

That is a handsome dog you've got there.

Born in '82 and I had a Donnie doll and one of their comic books (seriously, their merchandising was amazing!)

I'm 5 feet tall, so when maxi dresses were the thing, I really despaired of finding one. But I really really wanted a maxi! So I figured I'd look for a one that could reasonably be hemmed. But so many had ruffles or detailing at the bottom, and when you are looking to cut off 8-12 inches of fabric, that loses all

I think the Gargoyles are really what mess it up for me. I know there needed to be a comic relief (because Disney) but they were so over the top. I actually like a lot of the individual pieces of the movie (the corrupt religious official, the isolated hunchback who wishes he was free to go into the crowd, and the

Ann Taylor Loft is the best place to find well made petite clothing. A lot of other places just cut regular clothing down to fit, which makes it hang really weirdly on my body. But I actually found a petite sized maxi dress that didn't need to be hemmed at all! I was so excited :)

This song and animated sequence was the best part of that whole movie. It actually sends shivers down my spine. I'm still impressed that it ended up in a childrens movie considering it's talking about religious corruption and kidnap/rape/blackmailing a woman into an unwanted relationship.

YES! High school was easy just because it came after high school. It also helped, that for me, I went to a different high school so I wasn't stuck with the same kids from middle. Cause they were the worst. Everyone is so status conscious and more likely to do or say mean things just to keep or increase their

Great, now I have more things to read! Grr, I don't have enough hours in the day to read everything.

Did you name him or did the foster? Either way, great name!
