Thank you for that! I always need to see real people because I'm short, and I never have measuring tape nearby when looking up dresses. I need to see where the hem of the dress is going to hit, and the models are too tall for me!

My grad program is the opposite. At least in my year, a lot of the women are married and 3 of them had children while in grad school, but 5 years later, none of the guys are married.

I love The Neverending Story, both the movie and the book. I (like probably most people) saw the movie first and loved it, but the book is definitely deeper and more thoughtful. There is a scene near the end of the second half of the book that makes me tear up.

It sounds like they were trying. They were helping her seek psychiatric care, moving schools and cities when needed. They may have thought she was doing better, but something may have triggered her. A lot of it all went down on Facebook so they might not have been aware of how much was happening.

Then why read the article? Why post here? If you don't care about her, then just move on.

I do too, I kind of wish I had a skirt like that. I also wish I had the body to pull it off, but I don't have a dancer's body type :(

My mom is Jewish and my father is Catholic, but they are divorced now. My mom's been getting back into the dating scene, and she's more interested in dating a Jewish man now. She's not adamant about it, and has dated non-Jews. But she says that for her, it's starting to matter.

I have two copies of Good Omens: one is the first copy I ever got, that I read a million times over (at least once a year); the second is the "good" copy that I have signed by both Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett :) I never read that copy, it must be kept safe.

They are going to be separated? Oh but I watched the video before reading the article, and now I have all these ideas of how Mitik and Pakak are BFFs.

What about something like the right to vote? Technically you are given that right by the government; after all you don't have the right to vote <18 years of age, and then you are given the right when you reach your 18th birthday.

thanks!

If you ever remember which book/story this was, I would love to know. I've read a lot of Wrede and McKinley but don't remember that one, and it sounds like something right up my alley.

I'd vote for her. She's awesome.

This is my favorite because I had to read it twice:

I'm going to watch SNL for the first time in a long time. I LOVE Daniel Craig (his blue eyes are similar to my husbands blue eyes...dreamy!)

So about 5-6 years ago I was reading about ill fitting bras and how most places in the mall don't size you correctly. I read the article out loud to my boyfriend (now husband) and he got all excited about getting my properly fitted. So he looked up a place that was supposed to be very good and we drove over there.

Just listen to teacher!

I think it's FICA. I'm in grad school and get paid via stipend so my taxes are different.

According to these calculations from the linked thread:
