My friends and I have been watching all the movies with Rifftrax. I don't intend to stop now! I think Eclipse had the best Rifftrax, the jokes were funnier.

The thing is, the rabbis at the synagogues I always went to, always emphasized safety and health first. There's a moment during the Yom Kippur service where you have to be standing during a long prayer, and every year my Rabbi would announce before he started that this was going to be a long prayer, and anyone who…
I'm a big fan of Sanderson mostly because he does handle magic very well, with it being a system. And I like that, because I like learning how the system works, and what you can and can't do within the set of rules. It means that when final conflicts come, the magic that is used isn't surprising in and of itself,…
He's an old man at 6 years old now (we got him last year when he was five, already going gray)
Oh I do that to him all the time! Usually when he's sleeping, so he wakes up and gives me that "What are you doing?" face. It's payback for waking me up at 5:30am to go for a walk.
Marley is very upset that mutts weren't included. If I hadn't already met Mr. travelsized, I bet he would have helped me get a date :)
I had to take a pathophysiology class for grad school and I was convinced I had every disease. The Endocrinology section was particularly bad, but I'm also pretty sure that my hypochondria helped me pass the class.
Yeah, I've seen 2 upright -80 freezers fail in the last couple years. One was brand new, failed in the first year of use. My boss prefers his deep chest -80 for that reason, it holds the cold really well, for a lot longer than an upright. (But it's really annoying when you're short and your sample falls into the…
There goes my childhood. I remember reading Ray Bradbury in middle school. He was my gateway drug into Vonnegut, Huxley and Orwell. I had a book with a hundred of his stories and I read all of them in a month, marking which ones I liked the best. I can't even count how many times I've referenced one of his…
I had such high hopes for the first one. I was looking forward to a movie that would showcase some mind blowing action scenes and fights. I've never said this before, but there was too much plot in that movie!
I just turned 30 last week. I think being 30 is awesome! And I've been waiting to be 30 for ages. I'm also married though and apparently a lot of the song was about not being able to find someone after 30.
Oh please make this happen! Please?! This would be an awesome continuation of the books and movies, and the effects look really cool
yeah, I think he gets it from his mom. She's super social and ends up in conversations with complete strangers all the time. I'm more of an introvert so it amazes me sometimes how comfortable she is talking to people she's just met and becoming friends instantly.
That's a good point. My husband was an air force brat and lived in Germany for 6 years. Even after 4 years of marriage sometimes he'll be like "Oh yeah I saw that when I was in Amsterdam." And I will say "WHEN were you in Amesterdam? That is so cool! Why did you never tell me you went to Amsterdam?"
Her voice sounds normal to me. Not too different from my speaking voice. I hope people take me seriously and don't write me off because of my voice.
I'm going with tigers because they are squeaking. And because the woman feeding them in one shot is also wearing a tee shirt with white tigers on it. And that's awesome!
At least in the case of Wellesley, that's through a college exchange thing (Wellesley students can also take classes at MIT, Babson and I think Olin?) But the college is still all women. And there are not a lot of guys who take classes at Wellesley (I had one class in 4 years, OrgoChem, that had a guy in it.)
I agree. I also went to an all women's college. I don't think the problem is that an all male college exists, the problem is that the majority of the trustees want to change and two dissenters are stopping them.
Yeah, my grad program is really women heavy. My class 82% women, the class above me was all women. We joked during my first year that we should work on recruiting men for the next class. And we did...sort of, it was 50/50 that year, but then after that went back to normal.
