I loved what Cooke did with The Silhouette. The smallest and most obscure Minuteman and he made her such a beautiful and tragic girl who just couldn’t catch a break. Awesome, awesome book.

He was so damn good. All of his artistic decisions were right. Characters’ hair style, clothing, cars they drove, where they set their empty soda bottles, the lighting design for hotels/motels. It was all the right choice and the best choice at the same time. It’s just unbelievable looking at this stuff.

Ok, first, TV people step in and keep that camera at medium shot or further. Any director that gets Bill on the Medium Close Up is immediately fired and is sentenced to directing Around the Horn for one year.

So Simmons is the first to suggest owners build their own stadium in a promo on the Internet. Suck it Oliver Bros!

Hmm... We could debate that. His stand up is painful, but he is a very funny host.

Those covers were awesome.

Thats pretty damn funny you say that - my mom is a huge fan of the “stylish sixties” (she’s a diehard fan of Connery’s Bond) and she loved looking at Cooke’s art, especially his Parker stuff. She stares at the pictures but I can’t get her to read the words...

New Frontier was the story that made me like Hal Jordan.

...set 30,000 years in the past where the combined forces of the Amazons, Atlanteans, and Man fight off an invasion attempt by Darkseid.

I dropped the Star Wars book a while back, but stayed with Vader because it has been consistantly fantastic. It is the unique book that has been building a character in Vader who we already know and it’s building his story very successfully.

They have been grooming Leonard for a while now. I don’t how he played in college, but he definitely feels like the official fourth of the Spurs’ big three. Most importantly, he is the new face of the Spurs Way and is carrying on the philosophy of Pop that Duncan championed for so long.

Little bit of a difference between WW and Psylocke. Psylocke’s backstory is neat in a 90s kind of way, but she ain’t exactly the deepest and most nuanced X-Man out there.

If they don’t cast Sean William Scott as Guy Gardner, then yes for Booster.

The movie looks great. But my biggest concern about the movie is Will Smith. I think this is his first ensemble movie. I am still fearing the movie will feel like “Will Smith & The Suicide Squad.” His actions in the trailer remind me more of Deathstroke then Deadshot. Deadshot is a selfish lovable loser. Deathstroke

The last Booster Gold comic did a great job of giving Booster more purpose. It has some similarities to the JLU episode (the tag line of the series was “The Greatest Hero You’ve Never Heard Of!”). Booster was protecting the time line from being altered by outside influences, while occasionally giving in to his selfish

That last Booster Gold series went off the rails a little at the end, but Jurgens did a great job of establishing more depth for Booster. I’d highly recommend checking out the first 12 issues.

Hell of an article. Great work, but you missed a very important piece of Haunted Mansion lore...

X-Men has been a pretty reliable franchise. At the core, it’s really had one big miss (Last Stand).

It’s always bugged me X-men are these persecuted people yet you’ve got all these other superheroes running around and being cheered for.
