That keyboard is a beast. I think it’s The Wirecutter’s top pick for a bluetooth keyboard. I’m typing on it right now, and it’s a joy. It types back at you, but it’s not too loud. The circular keys are something to get accustomed to, though.

I’m glad to finally see menstrual cycle tracking getting some fanfare! I was just a bit miffed that they lumped it under “Reproductive Health” instead of “Sexual Health.”
I didn’t know about the “third response” until about six months ago when it came up in a therapy session, and since then, I’ve seen it come up in so many places. I’m so glad to see people talking about it, so angry it took thirty years for me to learn the obvious.
Reading this book was one of the best things I did this year, and it’s completely changed my approach to Stuff — living in a present moment vs. “Acquisitional mode,” accurately assessing how I use (or don’t use) the things I own, etc.
I’ve been looking at iPads, and I can’t quite figure out which size would best suit me. I played with all three at a Best Buy recently. I loved the feeling of the Mini in my hand, but I worry that, outside of a showroom, I’d find it to be too small for things like writing, reading, and PDFs for tabletop gaming. The…
Any idea how long this macbook deal will last?

For sure, I’m just fortunate enough to have a bedroom that gets a good deal of natural sunlight around the same time I wake up in the mornings, so the clock lamp would be a little redundant. :)

This offer is appealing, but I’m not sure that I want to go the wake-up light way for my bedroom alarm clock. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced, attractive looking clock without the bells and whistles?

Do ebooks ever go on sale like this? There’s one I have my eye on, but I’d be way more willing to pay, say, $5 than $12.

Not strictly related (but it is Mental Health Week!), but I was reading an article on Psychology Today about reasons therapy can be helpful for pretty much everyone: You are the common denominator in all your relationships, so working on yourself is also improving your relationships with all those people! :)
Article suggestion and recommendation is now the last major reason I use Facebook, and this looks like it’s a big step in the direction away from Facebook. If they implement some rudimentary tools for decentralized discussion, I’ll be motivated to deactivate my Facebook account entirely.
It’s behavior that I need to cure in myself, but my wife also does this. I don’t know of a way to encourage her to apologize less (namely, to me) without being a jerk, though. I often say, “There’s no need to apologize,” in [what I hope is] a gentle tone, but that doesn’t change much.
I don’t have kids yet, but if/when I am so lucky, I definitely want to keep it to a small number. It feels like it’ll be tough to control that balance between sticking to our principles as parents and making sure Christmas doesn’t feel like a let-down, especially given all the information they absorb from movies,…
Someone reeeeeeeaaaaally turned the “Clarity” slider way down on that photo in Lightroom, eh?
Civilization 5 has taught me similarly good advice when researching bronzeworking: “Do not wait to strike til the iron is hot; but make it hot by striking.”
Will downloaded maps remain on my device, or will they purge themselves after a set amount of time like they have in the past?
I was a HS freshman at 12, and I wasn’t the only one. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Both can absolutely be helpful in dealing with depression (and many other afflictions, I’m sure). But the older I get, the more I’m convinced that *everybody* could benefit from some kind of therapy, especially those people who insist they don’t need it.
Yeah. Like another commenter said, I don’t know if I’ll buy the subscription again (I got the yearly subscription), but I’ve got no regrets.
I’ve been using this on and off for about six months, and it is great. Definitely worth the money they charge. Speaking with other folks who have tried out similar apps, the consensus seems to be that Headspace is top dog right now for mindfulness/meditation apps.
