I don't much care either way on this one, save for one thing: The "Other Devices" menu at the bottom of the old "new tab" page. Is there some other way I can be accessing this list? I can't believe they'd axe the whole feature, considering they recently aired a TV spot centered on it.

I've never had a problem when I said, "Just a trim, not too short, not too long."

Ah, totally forgot. So much for that idea. I wouldn't be so reticent to buy a Kindle if 1) They would adopt the ePub format, and 2) Were as comfortable in the hand as the Nook Simple Touch. I know that's pretty pie-in-the-sky, and Nook is already dying a slow, slow death, so I guess I'll have to swallow this bitter

RE: Goodreads Integration — Does anyone know if this means Amazon and Goodreads signed an exclusive deal, or can I still hold on to hope that one day, Goodreads integration will come to my Nook? I love GR, but have softly bought in to B&N's ecosystem.

Oh wow, amazing suggestions, everyone! Thank you so much! I don't have my own lawn yet, but I keep an Evernote notebook full of ideas. This whole thread is going in it!

Would someone at Lifehacker consider writing a post about alternatives to grass? I know there are a lot, from clover to a full-on vegetable garden taking up the whole lawn, each with their pros and cons, and many other options. I'd love to see such a piece!

Ideally, but some people can't afford to leave a job, even one as awful as that, especially if no one else is hiring. I'd say that I hope this practice doesn't catch on, except that it seems inevitable in the pursuit of higher profits.

I recently learned that, particularly with pet hair (and cat litter), a broom is worth a lot more than a vacuum cleaner! Sweeping once a day has helped immensely.
