I think too many companies have an attitude of “just patch it later”. I think gamers are getting less patience for that attitude, as we’re starting to see more games get ridiculed if they release in a buggy format, even if the bugs are mostly fixed by a day one patch.

I think the myths and legends ideas is probably the most accurate way to summarize it. There’s certain tales which are largely accepted as the main canon, but they can be used in a ton of different stories and settings without necessarily having to give some kind of long backstory to justify it.

I believe the official canon is that Mario and crew are “actors” who take on different roles depending on what the games demand (at least, that’s how Miyamoto described them in an interview a few years back).

I actually liked my original DS more than the DS Lite in terms of how comfortably it fits in my hands. I have fairly large hands that made a blocky system like the DS Lite uncomfortable to hold over longer periods of time... but ultimately the better backlight and stronger colors made the DS Lite my preferred system.

I feel like this list was more interesting because it didn’t just focus on aesthetic changes, but made sure to mention what features were added or removed to these redesigns as part of why they’re listed.

I had a friend tell me about it beforehand... I was a little disappointed, but on the other hand I doubt I would have figured it out if he hadn’t told me.

I’m sorry, but Chrono Cross is a direct sequel in the sense that it follows Chrono Trigger’s story and includes the canon ending for Trigger within its story. I feel like the game would be much stronger if it actually was a franchise sequel in the same way that FF2 is to FF1, but it’s bogged down by basically undoing

So... what? You enjoy the fact that people can get paid to put in little to no work? I can get why they find that funny, but I don’t get why that’s funny to you. If you go to a restaurant, do you find it funny and endearing if they offer some kind of “best burger in town”, then sell an uncooked burger on raw dough? Do

Just because someone has an excuse or tradition to lean on doesn’t make doing something dishonest or stupid any more valid.

Being wise asses who use click bait to gain artificial page views. If they weren’t using these as lazy clickbait, they would put “underexplained Lists” in the actual title. But they’re not going to do that because they know people aren’t going to click on the article if they know that’s what it is beforehand.

It’s a thing where writers get to turn in an article with no research or writing, and get paid as though they had actually put effort into their work because the underexplained lists get a solid number of hits thanks to readers going to the comments section to debate them.

Honestly, this seems pretty standard for how Final Fantasy games have run in the past. The games give you an exploration and freedom to explore the world, but usually by the end you have every reason to just go from point a to point b without running all over the place.

I think it deserves a spot on the list for basically being innovative in a way that the N64 controller was trying to be, but I understand the problems people had with it. It worked almost magically for first party games, but for a lot of multiplatform games it was a mess... I recall most people I know bought the

This is the year that killed Prince and R2-D2... fuck this stupid year.

I like how she’s talking about how she assumes they’re all going to be Asian, then when she gets to the Chinese character she assumes that she’s Scandanavian or something.

Pleeeeeeease force your friends to see this movie. It is flopping hard at the box office and it absolutely doesn’t deserve it... it’s practically a tragedy that Suicide Squad set box office records and this movie looks like it’s not going to be making its own budget back...

It really doesn’t seem like these things are going to be used as a way of exchanging money with the game... these passes use the same NFC reader that’s in Amiibo (and in fact, there was an article when Amiibo first came out showing that some people could actually tap an Amiibo on the Subway turnstile and be given

Was this Olympics even real? I feel like this has been some kind of fever dream.

Reportedly, in my area there’s a problem with any Team Instinct players who manage to take over a gym getting reported and often soft-banned for their effort. According a reddit screenshot someone shared with me, there seems to be a number of players who believe that Instinct simply can’t legitimately take over a gym,

And I’m willing to bet that Fox News will blame any election night violence on Hilary...
