This is my biggest fear with this game. This game could be seen as a test of whether or not they’ll continue to produce titles in the Metroid franchise... but many fans are likely going to skip this game just out of spite. And the message Nintendo might get from this is simply, “Metroid isn’t worth working on”. But on

I actually managed to win a proper surfing Pikachu through a Nintendo Power contest... although it turns out you could also win one from one of the challenges in Pokemon Stadium. Though the interesting thing to me that I haven’t heard a lot of people mention, was if a Raichu used Surf in Pokemon Stadium it had a

I never acctually thought about that, but you’re totally right... it’s kind of interesting that some Pokemon’s Alola forms are only for their evolutions...

I remember in Pokemon Stadium you could actually win a surfing Pikachu in one of the challenges... if you used Surf in battle the Pikachu would just magically summon a surfboard from nowhere. But if you evolved it into a Raichu it would actually just hop on its tail and surf on that. So it’s kind of cool to see that

I was too impatient at the time... I wasn’t very good at organizing raids... so I kept finding myself in situations where I was trying to get together a party, and just getting a big enough party together to take on a quest took at least half an hour, if not more... by then odds were good that someone had to leave or

There have been a few pics and videos showing normal versions of classic Pokemon (in the promotional picture for this article, you can see a regular looking Tauros), so some of them will still be there. It’s possible that some species might even have both their classic and Alola forms catchable in the Alola region.

Really? For Suicide Squad? And when he chooses to Cosplay, he chooses the least iconic character in the whole Squad? He would at least have a more interesting costume if he dressed up as friggin’ Slipknot. I feel like he’s just an “airsoft bro” who wanted an excuse to show off his sweet gun.

I’m pretty sure most theaters in America banned bringing cosplay weapons of any kind after the Dark Knight Rises shooting tragedy. I know that when I’ve been to some of my local theaters during large opening nights, I saw signs making it clear that they don’t allow weapons of any kind, no matter how fake they look

Ah sorry, I was misunderstanding what you were talking about. In the game the “incense” are the self-use items that cause more pokemon to spawn just for the player who used it. Lure Modules are the things that can be place in-world that cause more pokemon to spawn for everyone. The thing is, though, Lure modules can

Well it depends on how incense works... it increases your individual odds of encountering pokemon, but it doesn’t affect other players around you. If it simply increases encounter rates numerically, then it could cause them to trigger in places that Pokemon catching might be forbidden in. But if it’s a multiplayer

Does Niantic’s system allow them to effectively deadzone specific locations even when using Incense? I’m sure that it’s something they could do in the future, but I wonder if they already have a system in place that allows that to happen...

I can excuse there not being curly hair as an option in the game simply because there are absolutely no hair style options in the game at all. It sucks for people who like character customization, but people pretty much aren’t missing out any more than anyone else who doesn’t have the same hair style as the characters

Rather than try to fix it, they just embraced it outright. That way they could use the Varia description to cover multiple functions, and not strictly use it to describe barriers.

I was thinking the same thing... I feel like the title should have reflected that this was in the 90's... although the fact that Playboy doesn’t do nude spreads anymore should have probably been a red flag for me...

I agree... I’m not planning to boot up my game just to kill her, but I honestly kept talking to her because I assumed that, if she was going to be that horrible to me at all times, that there must be some kind of Quest later in the game where you could turn her around. She’s definitely not the only person who

I agree... I doubt they’re worried too much about people hitting the level ceiling or how easy it is to hold a gym... It’s far more likely that, in spite of the game’s popularity, it probably wasn’t making quite as much money as they’d hoped, so they’re making it more necessary for players to purchase balls just to

I was thinking the same thing... that Articuno is weaker than pretty much anything in my area that’s holding down a gym. If the Legendaries did spawn that weak then they would be totally worthless.

To be fair, Metroid has been known for its quality first-person games in the Metroid Prime series since 2002, so that’s more than a decade of precedent for Metroid in that format. But I agree that the idea of a team-based, action-heavy shooter isn’t in line with what people like about the Metroid franchise.

I agree that it’s realistic for a person with his history being pushed into that situation, it makes sense for him to be whiny and annoying. I just think it was a mistake to make that character into the lead for a story... Although it seems to be a strongly Japanese thing. America focuses a lot of their media on being
