Adjectives fail me. It

Probably my favourite album of the year, her stuff had never fully clicked with me (Gowns came on my spotify discover and jumping straight from that to her solo stuff like California felt a bit tepid), but Exile really clicked with me.

It has the shortest sentences and the least syllables per sentence of any book I’ve read nominally aimed at grown-ups. It’s definitely propulsive, which I guess is what he was after, but it’s slightly stressful too. Something that could be one sentence with a sub-clause is three sentences.

Devil Wears Prada is so great. I have a similar thing with High Fidelity. The book’s great but it’s pretty scabrous, whereas the movie is a lot more fun.
