I recently put some binoculars on a small peninsula and surrounded it with a plain wooden fence.  We are very good at Animal Crossing I think.

I don’t know if it’s a full on arcade like machine, but it is a full rig with a steering wheel and pedals. If you click through the article in the first link it explains that loads of drivers have the set up at home because it genuinely helps them practice.

Yeah this is more just a play on the name than any kind of commentary on how trickle down supposedly works.

I love how everyone posting further down thread is ignoring you posting a credible source saying coronavirus is no big deal so they can continue to insist the world is ending :p

Of course it does, or at the very least assault. The show was still playing coy as to whether Yen was going to turn out to be a hero or a villain at that point. It wasnt supposed to be ok.

The Renfri story would have still worked without the rape, but I did find that it served a purpose in the narrative. Stregobor had portrayed himself as having noble intentions, but willing to do less than noble things to meet them. I can’t say I entirely trusted his take on things, but I did find them plausible. This is the real problem with the trilogy. TLJ started steering the story in one direction. RoS went out of it’s way to steer the trilogy back in another direction. If we would have either done the entire trilogy in the Star Wars fan service method of Abrams or followed through on the more subversive method of Johnson Read more

I spent most of the first movie wondering why they didnt just live in tents next to the naturally sound proof waterfall instead of living in constant fear of death by monopoly accident in their house.

So your initial argument is TLJ fans complain about Rey’s arc even though it has similarities to Luke’s arc. I point out that the similarities to Luke’s arc are what we don’t like about it. Your response is “But it’s not the same as Luke’s arc”? Just making sure I got all that right.

You’re missing what TLJ fans liked about the movie by a country mile. We liked it because it was setting the story up to be something different than an OT remake. Rey following the exact same arc as Luke is exactly what’s disappointing about the decision.

I did read your post and it's still wrong.  The fact that the Overlook is still standing proves that it's going to contradict the novel in some ways.

I don’t think this is true. There was an article here a few months back about how the movie will blend both the book and Kubrick film. The article explicitly says King ok-ed them going back to the Overlook. Read more
