It’s not delightful for my friends who haven’t been furloughed, and thus working for free while trying to figure out how to pay for their health insurance (which is automatically deducted from their now non-existent paychecks), pay the rent/mortgage, feed their kids. Some have savings, others get shit pay, some are

Tulsi Gabbard is homophobic.

Gabbard isn’t the progressive people think she is. LGBT groups are justifiably sceptical of her. She doesn’t like foreign wars that risk American lives but is super cool with drone strikes and murder squads.

A cheerleader for Assad? I’ll pass on that one, thanks.

I didn’t see it as a dig, quite the opposite. Faye Dunaway is a fucking legend but she doesn’t have the economic power to match, and the only explanation for that is sexism.

fuck “class”. she’s trying to make real change in the industry. expecting women to be “classy” while they work hard at things is just another way of policing them.

I think that was precisely her point - that a woman who is a goddamn legend, has no real financial power, especially compared to her male contemporaries like Warren Beatty.

She’s not dragging Faye, but rather pointing out how dispossable women are in Hollywood. Faye was huge in the late-60s/70s, was in films that made money, had massive critical acclaim, and an Oscar to boot. Then, she made two films that flopped, and her career was dead. She has tried resurrecting it - even going over

Troll, fuck off. Heaven forbid someone tries to be sincere on the internet when tragedy strikes.

Not surprising. People act like you are some sort of killjoy for not liking it but its just relentless.

Just once, I’d like to see a movie with a plot about a woman seeking justice for the assault of someone she loves. Don’t even show the rape; have her experiencing a normal, happy day, and then get called down to the hospital because the victim had put her down as their emergency contact, and have her, and the

It’s not unusual for the top four or five comments to be from this tiresome pack of dudes who seem to think their banal opinions are absolutely indispensable.

And, as ever, the top two comments are from men who comment early and on absolutely everything.

.I’m not really sure why Aniston is so well liked other than Friends, which is a medicore version of Living Single. Team Jolie...

I’m side-eying the title of “wokest Globes in history” for a ceremony that almost completely excluded winners of color. Side-eying it hard.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaah thank god for no autoplay, I definitely clicked on this article desiring to *read about* but not to *see*, thank you very much

the masculine crop top is giving me life, along with the high-waisted suspender pants

The silliness and wrongheadedness of going after Streep allows the Clooneys, Pitts, Tarantinos, etc. off scot-free. Streep was not on the production-side as those men and Weinstein were - so anything she “knew” was derived from rumors unless she heard it from victims themselves directly. Which no victim has stated
