I wouldn't count DA as a major franchise, it had 1 good but limited game, one complete mess up of a game, very little news on the 3rd game, and now a shitty cash cow of a mobile game.

Most franchises that spin off a shitty mobile game are already well established and have a few decent to top quality full games already…

It is actually pretty god damn depressing seeing what has happened to Dragon Age since the first game, which was riddled with potential for anew awesome RPG franchise. It is so disappointing.

You should be able to do something about that. I have it on my PSP and under the PS button settings, there is a "Disc-Load Speed" option. If you set it to fast, it makes a huge difference. You still have the zone spin, as it is a part of the game code, but the actual loading happens way faster. Its there on the PS3…

They are HD re-releases. Much like a crap load of other PS2 games that have been re-released (GoW, MGS, DmC, J&D, Kingdom Hearts, etc etc). It isnt a remake. For either of them. It is upscaled graphic, trophies and bonus material never released outside Japan.
