That must have required a lot of overnight parts from Japan.
It’s incredibly amateurish. Even I would know to check the lease agreements before downsizing. This company has actual lawyers and accountants working for it (I presume).
Yup, I find it funny that the land lords are all standing around thinking “ummm...Tesla, you signed a 5 year lease at my property with 4 years still left.....you cant just up and leave without paying me 4 more years of rent.....”
Tesla’s “Disruptor” attitude of “fuck you, we’ll do as we please” continues to run into problems with actual reality.
I think by going “Online Only”, they’re cutting out a lot of potential buyers.
This is for a perfect condition stock car with no miles, this is a one out of 1000 car. There are still plenty that have been driven, questionably modified, or need some love for pretty cheap. It’s just like muscle cars. There are ‘69 Camaros well into the triple digits, and ones in the mid 4 digits.
This honestly just makes me mad. The MKIV Supra’s were a childhood dream car, and one I figured I’d be able to reasonably afford by now, but thanks to speculators and people with way too much money, it’s now totally out of the realm of possibility for me.
First gear: With all the years I’ve spent temping (currently a regular employee, thank God!), I’ve been dismissed in some not-so-great ways - such as getting a call from the agency an hour and a half after my shift ended to find out that was my last day. But so far I’ve never found out I lost my job through a press…
Lordstown has produced several generations of GM compact cars, including the infamous J-body Cavalier, Sunfire, Skyhawk, and the successive Delta platform Cobalt/G5 and current Chevrolet Cruze.
First Gear: The Real Sense of Anticipation here on Mod Y is the exact form and method by which Musk will botch “door design” this time.
To be fair you cant get this now. You have to wait until all of the preorders have been delivered. So you could actually get that polestar 2 first.
That’s 15 years to cost-parity assuming a lot of things:
It’s a neat idea, but you could also buy a top-trim Grand Touring Mazda3 for $10,000 less. Assuming 3 bucks a gallon and taking the city MPG of 27, that gets you at least 90,000 miles without a penny spent on fuel/electricity.
I get overly-angry every time I see them including “gas savings” as lowering the price of the car. THAT’S NOT THIS WORKS! THAT’S NOT HOW ANY OF THIS WORKS!
The question is how much Tesla will profit on a vehicle sold for 35K. They already have pretty remarkable pricing for what they deliver and this 35K offering is bad news for GM, Nissan and anyone else trying to nudge their way into the EV space. (But, great news for customers.)
Looks like they all have the glass roof.
