Considering Musk’s public behavior (we can only shudder to imagine what it is in private) it would be more surprising for one of his workplaces to not be horrible.

At least villain.  I dispute the super part.

supervillain

I suspect the company mirrors the frat boy attitude of the one in charge

I’ve worked in a few factories on the production floors. They are not nice places in both cultures and physical environment and management will never care.

Headline should be

I hit a small chunk of shredded tire in my Model S on the highway once, maybe 6"x6". No big deal, that’s what bumpers are for, worse case scenario I just replace the bumper, right? ...right?

Where did he say that the cost of keeping it running factored into his decision to get rid of it?

I did something similar last fall - traded my fully-optioned Model S 85D for a Hyundai Tucson Hybrid, and couldn’t be happier with my decision.

The only Tesla I have been in is a friend’s Model 3. And he shows me how you have to open the glove box.

Aren’t Teslas supposed to be cheap to run because EVs don’t have that oily bit that starts dead dinosaurs on fire?

Here come the strangely defensive nerds. Popcorn at the ready.

Some stuff doesn’t bug you much right up front. I think most everyone has been there at one time or another, you think “It’s not that bad, I’ll get used to it” but over time the annoyance becomes hatred.

Neighbor owns a 300 thats a bit older (2009? I think) and damnit if it isnt true. Thing is quiet as hell and rides shockingly nice.

Hero. That's the word you're looking for. The man is a hero.

“it’s shocking to people because it’s new... but this is normal.....”

FUCK THAT GUY.
don’t try to fucking justify that. there’s NOTHING normal about trying to drive in to something, LET ALONE A LIVING, BREATHING, HUMAN BEING.

The one thing that humans still have (if they actually used it), is the ability to predict another drivers potential behavior and to be proactive. A good driver should be able to detect little nuances that people do, like noticing a driver in the next lane getting closer to your lane even for a bit. You should be able

Omar Qazi is the asshat who riled up Elon cultists to enrage against Missy Cummings. For those that don’t know, Missy was appointed special advisor to the NHTSA for her expertise in autonomous vehicle safety. Due to the actions of the Tesla cult, she is now recused from any matters related to Tesla and the pubic loses

The mental gymnastics that they did after the near miss is concerning.

The scariest part is how quickly the driver turns to justifying what happened. That level of blind support for anything is a commentary on so much of what is happening around us... on either side of any issue.
