I think a lot of the blame for the stale products can be placed on Mark Fields, since it seems he delayed a lot of the product cycles. I think in that regard Hackett seems to be trying to do the right thing and push though product launches. But he is trying to do more with less...More launches, same number of markets,

When Mulally was running the show at Ford, the company was focused on making world-class products people want and value; small, medium, and large; cars, trucks, and utilities. And they were on their way to doing that.

Margin is the only thing that matters. Margin tells you that you could have a company half the size of Ford and still make 7 billion. It’s a measure of efficiency, and inefficient companies die.

Cadillac’s Situation Continues To Escalade

Obligatory

Yep, screw volume and go on markup alone. Make ‘em opulent, daring and expensive so the plebs can’t have them. Use Cadillac as a halo brand to ultimately sell more Buicks.

It makes sense, but historically, this feels odd: all of Citroën’s greatest hits were made and or designed when it was owned by Michelin, from the Traction Avant to the CX.

I think the Titan’s sales performance is based on region. Here in Alabama and in Mississippi, Titans can’t stay on the lot long enough. I’m seeing more Tundras sitting on Nissan dealers’ used car lots nowadays. Perhaps Nissan should boost its ad presence; the only time I see Titan commercials are during college

Your lack of appreciation for capitalism signals that you’ve only worked in a capitalist system and never had to experience what it’s like to live in a socialist/communist society.

All the 30K millionaire will love to lease it.

I wanted their hatchback, but we didnt get it. So nope...

Sounds violent... probably illegal.

First Gear: welcome to capitalism, baby! At my job we are down ~50% of staff since the end of 2016 and we have just had our most productive two year stretch ever.

That was an amazing nerd-gasm from auto engineer porn.

The air filter box having the same dip for the non existent strut brace LOL

You’re doing The Lord’s work there, David.
